I thought this was sort of a bit of irony—given the technologies of today.   And that it is no longer used. East Montgomery, Alabama.

High Speed Shoulder Cleaner

On a visit to Mentone, Alabama, we made it a point to travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee to visit the aquariums on the riverfront.

At the top of the Aquarium is the butterfly sanctuary—literally filled with a multitude of species.

I shot this iris along with several others.  When I downloaded it and cropped it, I noticed his face in the image.  Look closely at the yellow and white of his center...  HP at work...

The mild and long-coming of spring has enabled the dwarf azaleas to flower unlike any other year.

I shot this while visiting my childhood home in Weathersfield, Vermont.  I used to attend this place of congregational worship during the summers, and my sister was married here as well as her daughter.  It’s the crown jewel of Weathersfield, Vermont history.

The westerly view from Mount Ascutney, Vermont during my recent visit home.  When friends and family used to visit in the summer, we’d hike up to the fire tower at the summit.  Now it’s covered in towers.

I shot this while putting together some content for the website of the company I work with.  We took the cover off the side and stuffed the ole Rebel EOS in there and started firing!

When I visited friends in Hickory, NC, I wandered through their flower gardens.  This is one of my favorites.  HP at work!

One of my very favorite shots because of the sense of depth  among the lily pads in the water and the clouds reflecting from above.  More Higher Power stuff.

Untouched right out of the camera.  “Dances With Wolves,” reference sort of a reach, but the serenity of the picture sort of suggests independence.
